There are two reasons people can write essays: they don’t have a fear of the freedom to express their opinions, and they don’t worry about making mistakes. Good ideas don’t come quickly. Most students don’t outline. Students are often hesitant before beginning or hurry through the process.
The writing process requires discipline, or patience. The writing itself and not the mere fact of writing it is the most difficult part. If writing were an Olympic event, the first thing the viewers would notice is the writer’s timing. Before you begin writing, it’s important to organize your thoughts in a manner that is logical. A five-paragraph essay could require a lot of planning to write well, but a five paragraph essay may also require a lot of planning to write properly particularly if you have very little time or a huge project at hand.
“Why do we need to compose essays?” I hear you cry. I hear you cry. Professionals, students, homemakers and professors all have the ability to write. Anyone can write a captivating, thought-provoking essay.
But what kind of essays can make a difference? There are two kinds: argumentative and essay writing. Essays are written in a descriptive manner that lay out the argument. An argumentative essay is an argumentative essay which uses personal experience to back up an argument. Here’s a basic example of an argumentative essay
(A) (A) A man was employed by a car manufacturer as an engineer for testing. He had no formal education and his employers were impressed with his mechanical aptitude, gave him the position. His boss, who was an expert in aeronautical engineering, dismissed the engineer two weeks later, while conducting an inspection of a prototype for their new jet aircraft model. Indignant, the man returned to his workplace and began talking about his dismissal. His colleagues who were in the next room were able to hear him and requested him to stop his rant so they could have a chat with the man.
(B) If you’re writing expository essays, your aim is to convince the reader that your view is right. This can be accomplished through the creation of your “personal brand.” By adopting a position or personal brand that serves to provide a rationale for your position, you can “brand” your arguments and present your work in a way 3 pages article that more closely resembles the style of professional journalists such as reporters or opinionators rather than the writing style of a high school student writing an essay report. This is especially beneficial if your essay contains information that is expository. It makes it easier to understand your audience and to position your essay in line with the audience.
(C) An often-used device in film essay writing is to contrast and compare. For instance, two movies that have distinct themes (department store clerk vs.vampires) will often share many similarities in their structure and basic plot elements, while two films that have very different themes (department store clerk vs.vampire serial killer) will typically have significant variations in tone and style, but also a lot in commonalities. Consider the following examples: An assignment about American social policies will often focus on a trivial question like whether capital punishment is cruel or unjust. On the other the other hand, a movie essay about a major Hollywood crime mystery will focus on discovering the secrets revealed by the characters involved in the crime, and how these secrets impact society as a whole.(In both instances, the writer’s central argument is that certain social policies are unjust.) Similar arguments are possible in all aspects of human existence.
(D) Argumentative essay typically require a strong, highly descriptive argument to stand out from other written work on the same topic. Essays on virtually any topic can be written using this method, and the capability to effectively present an argumentative essay rests heavily on knowing how and why to use language that goes beyond simple repetition of facts. One of the techniques students use in this class is to read other essays and note its value as a reference for their own work. Your essay must at a minimum partly use an argumentative model.
